Fricative Breath
Exercise

After 10 fricative breaths, bring your voice and breath into alignment by harnessing that energy and saying "I love my footing ribs" FROM the floating ribs..

It might sound quite different. Focus on marrying the voice and breath together so that none is leftover afterwards.

If you can't feel your floating ribs - check your posture. :)

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SOURCE MATERIALS:
The contents above are only my take on exercises that I have learned through many years of training in different specialties with different specialists. The bulk of which has been borrowed from or inspired by the works of Kristin Linklater, Richard Ryder, Stewart Pearce and the amazingly talented faculty of the Canadian National Voice Intensive, now known as The Moving Voice Institute.

I owe a great debt to those who have passed on their expertise and I encourage you to explore these amazing trainings for yourself whenever possible.
