Tongue Twisters
|
|
Think of Tongue Twisters like scales on a piano. Start slow, big and deliberate, focusing on the correct placement of your articulators. That way, as you naturally speed up you will build precision in the way your muscles move. If you find yourself misspeaking, stop and start again slower. NEVER sacrifice precision for speed. Best if practiced daily.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SOURCE MATERIALS:
The contents above are only my take on exercises that I have learned through many years of training in different specialties with different specialists. The bulk of which has been borrowed from or inspired by the works of Kristin Linklater, Richard Ryder, Stewart Pearce and the amazingly talented faculty of the Canadian National Voice Intensive, now known as The Moving Voice Institute.
I owe a great debt to those who have passed on their expertise and I encourage you to explore these amazing trainings for yourself whenever possible.
