Tue 30 July 12pm PST - 2:30pm PST in your calendar. A QUICK REMINDER...
Speaking spots are first come first served. Arrive early to make sure you get your chance! You can speak on any topic you like (within reason, if unsure, please check with host) for up to 5 minutes - prepared or unprepared. You can test out a brand new idea, bring an existing presentation for polishing, or even practice speaking off the cuff. All are welcome! This is a fantastic opportunity to spread the word about any upcoming projects or events you've got in the works. Feedback is optional. If you'd rather treat this like a 5 minute guest speaking spot - that's great! We will be live-streaming the call on the Inspired Community Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/inspiredspeakerscommunity So let your friends and clients know where they can watch you live. The replay will also be posted on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFekzYs3MueZ5oHJbV23lsw Come on over to the Facebook Group and chat before and after the event. Ask questions, see who else is attending. Tell us what you're going to speak about, ask Danielle to speak about something you've been dying to know... join the conversation! |
SNIPPETS FROM Q&AHow do I stop myself saying the wrong thing or seeming unprofessional?
How do I stop using filler words like Um and Ah?

WANT TO KNOW WHAT PREVIOUS PARTICIPANTS THOUGHT OF THE EVENT?
"I really like how this terrifying scary monster (public speaking) is actually built up of fundamental building blocks. It's really about focusing on the steps: the framing and all those aspects, which then places it within our control and not something that’s just gonna end up like a pie in the face." ~ Paula

"It’s been a while since I’ve talked about my business, being a student and a full time employee for quite a while. I’ve been wanting to do some video courses and this was a nice opportunity to practice that and to see whether it would be more beneficial to do recorded zoom meetings or just in a bubble with just me talking to people. If I would be engaging enough for an audience if there wasn’t the interaction back and forth. That was really beneficial to have the opportunity to practice that." ~ Julie

"My highlight was the feedback for all the different presentations, it’s very practical and down to earth. It's never superficial, it's never surface level or cookie cutter textbook. It’s practical. I don’t seek advice from everybody, I'm very particular about whose advice I take and Danielle Benzon is one I really take to heart. I know her advice comes from genuine experience. There’s always a lot of context and depth to it." ~ Fatima
